Last time they tried to sell me on some kind of synthetic oil that would last 5,000 miles instead of 3,000. I like the 3,000 cause then I know it's time to get my tires rotated. I live by the beach in San Diego, so temperate climate. It takes me 5 months to go 3,000 miles. My car, which is standard, has about 50,000 miles on it.
