Open Question: I am doing missionary work in Mexico this month (via San Diego), am I eligible for the USA Visa Waiver scheme?I have never travelled to the USA before, but I'm aware that they are incredibly strict with regards to whom can gain access to the country. On Dec 27th I'm flying from Heathrow to San Diego (with some changeovers on the way) - the following morning I will be meeting the church group I will be doing missionary work with and driving over the border to Mexico. As I will be considered a 'Religious Worker' (ie, not staying for pleasure, or for work) http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/niv/religious.html , does this mean I would qualify for the Visa Waiver scheme? I have no idea how the system works, even after telephoning the Embassy and listening to their automated service.. How do I proceed? Obviously I need to get this sorted ASAP as I fly out in 20 days time!! ANY help would be much appreciated! Thanks :) I am a British Citizen with a regular passport. I will be in Mexico for approximately 10 days. The church group are sorting the Mexico side of things, I just need to sort Visas and insurance (and fundraising!). Thanks More Recent Articles
