Open Question: How can i break my lease? and more... Open Question: How can i break my lease?I live in San Diego CA and me my husband and our four kids have been living here for 8 months. About three months after we moved in i went into our kit to get some water and there where baby roaches all over our counter top. My husband was gone out of town so as soon as he came home we called the rental agency and they said they would call the owner and see what the owner wanted to do.The same day we called them we noticed termites all over our room and bathroom so we called them again and they said buy some bug spray for the termites. Now i thinking wow what is bug spray going to do for us. A month after that our garage broke like the piece that pulls the door up that is connected to the motor just came right off the door we had left to get our kids from school and when we came home the garage wouldn't open so i went around to the back door and the piece was just hanging so my husband opened the garage with his hands and the door came half way off the tracks. We called them right away and they sent some one out the next day that said the garage is dangerous and could fall and kill someone if they are standing inside trying to open it. I thought our garage was going to be fixed but no the rental agency called and said they where going to send other people out so they can get other quotes the next guy that came out wouldnt write the quote out to the rental agency he said it had to be in my husbands name and that it would be billed to my husband and i told him no that the rental agency was goin to pay it and he said that they where told to bill my husband.Now my husband is a US Marine we have alot of gear in out garage if the door was to just fall off today someone could steal it then he would be in trouble and owe the Marine Corps alot of money. Now im not a big dish washer person so i never used our dish washer but today i didnt feel like washing dishes so i tried to use it i turned it on and went to do some laundry and came back into the house to find my kit floor soked with water i opend up my sink and stoped the dish washer to find that the dishwash wasn't hooked up to the sink drains the tube that came from the dish washer wa just tied to some thing under the sink. As i was drying under the sink the flooring to under the cabinet caved in and the faucet just started leaking so im about to call the rental agency again. Mean while they havn't tried to come fix the roach problem which is getting worse the garage is still broke now the whole dish washer and sink thing. I just want to move so i need to break my lease. It has been 4 months since we called about the roaches, 3months since we called about the garage and they havn't done anything.
