Open Question: Do I have a chance of getting accepted into UCSD? PLEASE ANSWER.?

I am a junior right now at one of the high schools located in La Jolla. (Ranked one of the top schools in the nation if that helps) I really want to get accepted into UCSD- it seems to be my only choice right now in terms of location, its really convenient. (If you guys know any other San Diego universities please email me) Anyways, I am becoming really anxious right now--I feel that I might not have a chnace of being accepted to UCSD. I had a 4.1 GPA sophomore year for both semesters. Junior year, my progress reports (which dont count) are around a 4.1 weighted GPA. I have the ability to get a 4.3, but i have two B's.. (thats what I am really worried about) I fear that I cannot pass my AP exams (would that be counted as a huge factor in my admissions?) this coming may. My PSATS junior year is a 1570. i aim for at least an 1800... (I HAVE AROUND TWO AND A HALF MONTHS UNTIL THE REAL SATS) HOW LONG SHOULD I STUDY EVERYDAY?? as for the positives: I participate in clubs such as Interact Club Robotics Club National Honors Society (only group of 20 out of 100 are accepted) Varsity Lacrosse (starter) Junior Varsity Basketball (starter) I have 80+ hours in my three years of high schooll (yes I need more.??) I particpated in the COSMOS summer program over at UCSD I volunteer weekly at my local hospital. I particpate in Ecology Club (bring revenue to the club, basically co treasurer) I particpated in the Associated Student Body Freshman and sophomore year, and am currently the junior class secretary for my class I won first place in science fair freshman and sophomore year I am in the principals honor role. I attained department awards for ASB, Physics Department award, and the spanish department award. I think im in the top 10 percent of my class... or 15. please email me on the subjects i need work on... my PSAT scores are really bothering me right now, as well as my grades.

Open Question: Can we keep the ugliness out of immigration debate?

San Diego, California (CNN) -- 'Tis the season of peace on Earth and good will toward men. Yet you wouldn't know it from the screed from the conservative radio talk show host who recently charged into the immigration debate with gums flapping. He called for a crackdown on illegal immigration but also a wholesale tightening of immigration policy so we admit fewer legal immigrants as well. The radio talker was half-right. Americans must get serious about stopping illegal immigration, mostly by doing something we never seem to do with much enthusiasm: punish employers. But legal immigration shouldn't be dragged into the mix. Legal immigrants -- with their energy, passion and optimism -- have always been this country's most valuable import. Even in bad economic times, we need more of them and not less. Still, the worst part was the wildly inappropriate language the host used to justify his position. He was dangerously out-of-bounds in framing the issue as one of protecting society from the latest wave of immigrants, most of whom come from Mexico and Latin America. Unless something was done to curb the flow, he said, these foreigners would continue to "alter our demographics, erode our culture, and threaten our language." Demographics. Culture. Language. And people wonder why accusations of racism and ethnocentrism keep surfacing in the immigration debate. It's because of ugly, alarmist and bigoted statements like these -- the sort of poison that has a familiar ring to it.

Open Question: Chad Ochocinco or Calvin Johnson in week 15?

I'm leaning towards Calvin Johnson because Arizona's pass defense isn't great. Ochocinco will be up against a decent San Diego pass defense and Carson Palmer has really been struggling the past few weeks. The thing is, I unfortunately have Carson Palmer because my backup QB is hurt and our trade/free-agent pickup deadline was week 11. So I'm stuck with him. Would you go with the 1-2 punch of Palmer/Ocho? Or should I use Palmer and Johnson? (By the way, my other WR is Anquan Boldin going against Detroit so no question I will be playing him)
