Open Question: After 7 years in my San Diego condo can I be charged for new carpet or a steam clean again upon moving out?

I have lived here for 7 years and just had my carpets cleaned 3 months ago. Now my LL says I have to clean them within 3 months of moving out which im moving out on January 1, 2010. The carpets where old when we moved in back in 2003. I don't want to get ripped off by my landlord. He seems the type to charge for everything since he would never fix a thing in the condo for the last 7 years!!! HELP

Open Question: Probability Question! Soccer game!?

In a soccer tournament involving the four teams San Diego State, De Paul, Colgate, and Hofstra, find the probability that Hofstra will play Colgate in the finals and win. (Assume that all outcomes are equally likely and that the teams not listed in the first round slots are placed at random.) The first round looks like this: Colgate vs. Blank Hofstra vs. Blank So I know that the equation is P(E)/P(S) And I believe that P(S) = C(4,1) = 4 However, when I try to solve P(E) I get C(1,1) which doesn't seem to make sense...can someone please help? Thanks in advance! :D
